International Summer School (ISEM 2015), Emergency Medicine

This program is a 9-day-long course that aims for the promotion of medical student’s skills in the field of emergency medicine, concentrating on practicing every individual participant rather than mere lecture-based and routine classes. We are honored to invite talented students from all over the world attend the International Summer School on "Emergency Medicine" ISEM 2015 from August 24th to September 1st held in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Tehran, Iran. This program is a 9-day-long course, which aims to developmedical students’ practical abilities beside theoretical knowledge in the field of emergency medicine. Unlike some other summer schools, this program is not going to be eitherlecture-based or teacher-focused courses. What we have in mind for attendees of this program is letting them learn each skill by experiencing them on models and afterwards putting them in the real situations in order to handle emergent conditions, which is called rule “2 out of 3” among professors of ours that means observing each skill twice and practicing them yourself three times. In this program, every individualparticipant is going to experience patient intervention byperforming at least 1 day-shift and 1 night-shift (if interested), not only in the main referral hospitals in the country, but also in the most powerful operating ones in this field, i.e. IMAM KHOMEINI HOSPITAL COMPLEX, Dr. SHARIATI HOPSPITAL and SINA HOSPITAL. Beside many useful practical skills which you are going to develop in our program, we have also organized evening social programs for you in order to enjoy our gorgeous historical places, amazing natural environment, make friends with medical students from all over the world and sense the spirit of the country by being among native people, which are well-known for their hospitability.
